Liam Laird and the Way Out West-Tet

Comprised of all Colorado natives, the Way Out West-Tet is a collective of some of this generation's most promising young musicians who are now living in Boston and New York City building careers in the music world.

Created while all studying on the East Coast at Berklee College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and the New England Conservatory, the quintet performs with the goal of empowering, uniting, and uplifting each other and their listeners.

Blending music from all styles, the Way Out West-Tet is rooted in the jazz tradition and works to continue that legacy of creativity, dedication to the craft, and social progress through music. Taking much inspiration and knowledge from the greats before them, the quintet, made up of Carbondale locals Liam Laird (Alto Sax), Chris Ferrari (Tenor Sax), Maliq Wynn (Drums), Tony Golden (Bass), and Jack Kuelling (Guitar) weaves all of their influences into a sound, unique and representative of their time, that you won’t want to miss.
