In the Heart of the Creative District
Each month, a family-friendly community celebration with a wide range of local arts, galleries, shopping, award-winning restaurants and spirits, live music and entertainment takes place in the heart of the Carbondale Creative District and historic downtown core.
Main Street businesses open their doors with extended hours and special offerings; local businesses and organizations host booths, games or activities. Locals and visitors alike generate community spirit on streets closed to traffic to create an expanded promenade feel.

While restaurants are typically jam-packed on First Fridays, we’d love to offer additional food options and celebrate culinary creativity.
This team will help with First Friday street closures, immersive activations, and will be ambassadors of this beloved monthly gathering. Reach out to deborah@carbondalearts.com with questions.
Community organizations and nonprofits are invited to be considered to host a booth at First Friday. You may not host a booth without an approval from Carbondale Arts.
