Theme Announcement and Design Contest for the 52nd Carbondale Mountain Fair
2022 Winner: Maggie Summers Tarbert
The 52nd Annual Carbondale Mountain Fair Poster Design contest is ready to roll. Our theme this year, Where The Wild Things Grow, is a celebration of the flora and fauna (and possibly fairies!) that inhabit our greater mountain community. Snowy peaks, rocky crags, lodgepole forests, rivers and streams; we share our backyard with wild neighbors who know every nook and cranny of our home through paw, hoof, root, mycorrhiza, feather and fin! Join in the fun July 28-30, 2023.
Interested artists should
a) let their imaginations run wild (pun intended)
b) submit a well-developed concept for the design along with at least three work samples.
Handmade and digital entries are welcome. All non-digital submissions should have your name and contact info on the back. Please send images and questions to brian@carbondalearts.com. Submission deadline is April 1st.
A jury chooses from the entries received and our team will work with the finalist to create the poster and t-shirt design. Winner receives $750 and five t-shirts!
