Carbondale Arts is pleased to announce a collaboration between local, world renown musician, MinTze Wu and the arts council to bring interesting and diverse performances to Carbondale. The first concert was a collaboration between MinTze and 4 other valley musicians in the classical vein, performing during Mountain Fair. This month we are showcasing Latin influenced music. The dynamic guitar/violin duo dives into the sound and groove of traditional Brazilian choro, samba, bossa nova, Argentinian tango, folk and classical music. Join us in the early autumn afternoon on the ground of the historical Thompson House with a program full of delight and charm, music includes Piazzolla’s Cafe 1930 & Oblivion, Carinhoso & Nequela Tempo by Pixinguinha, Les Deux Guitarres, Samba em Prelude, and many more.
The show is a gift to our community and is FREE to attend. Thanks to Bill Spence and Sue Edelstein. Spaces will go quickly and are limited to 50 "pods" of two people. Masks and social distance will be required and enforced. All attendees need to be accounted for via registration.
Though this event is free through sponsorship, we are accepting (and so grateful for) donations in any increment to keep events and projects of this caliber in our community.
