Light the Night with Love (2021)

Light the Night with Love CMYK.png

The American Heart Association and the Carbondale Creative District are joining forces to bring a new event to Carbondale, featuring an interactive HeART Walk from DeRail Park to the Latinx Folk Art Garden. Farolito lanterns decorated by the Roaring Fork Community will adorn the Rio Grande HeARTway with light installations and surprise performances along the way.

Farolito kits include a farolito, or luminaria, for decorating (and/or dedicating), inspirational prompts and special LOVE lenses, to enhance the light experience, and a ticket to the event. If you’d like to attend but decorating isn’t your thing you may purchase a ticket for $10 which includes one pair of LOVE lenses.

Kits and tickets are available for pick up at The Launchpad in Carbondale as well as The Property Shop in Glenwood Springs. Decorated farolitos will then need to be returned to either location no later than Friday, February 12.

Groups or pods of no more than 10 are asked to make a reservation ahead of time to allow for proper distancing, masks will be required. All attendees need a ticket to the event.

This is a creative way to experience art, lift spirits and get people outside connecting safely, while benefitting the American Heart Association.

Interested in volunteering? This will be a fun event to be involved in and we have several roles to choose from. As always we appreciate the support! Sign up HERE
