The Field/Work project will consider and create public art and design that is rooted in place, specifically the rural west, and how art and design can promote and catalyze a deeper connection to the land, more sustainable practices and ecological and cultural stewardship.

This project is a collaboration between the Carbondale Art's Creative Apprentice Program and The Project Shop's ReWear Initiative. The Creative Apprentice Program pays teens (14-20) to work with creative professionals to create works of community value through collaboration and learning.

Through the project the apprentices developed designs and prototypes for custom entry signage at Coal Basin Ranch.
