Carbondale Arts presents the 40th Annual Valley Visual Art Show, opening on Friday, January 17 and on display at the R2 Gallery through February 28.

The Valley Visual Art Show is one of the longest-standing community art shows committed to showing the work of local artists. VVAS began in 1980 as a venue for local artists to share their artwork with the public. VVAS still provides this opportunity, especially for artists new to the area and budding artists, but the show has also become both a salute to the wide variety of artistic talents in our area and a time to bring the artist community together. This show features 50 Roaring Fork Valley artists and includes two and three dimensional work created in with wide variety of media. We received work from many new artists as well as many long time local artists from the Roaring Fork Valley.
